Join a large, dynamic finance department that is dedicated to enhancing financial reporting activities. This company, based in Blackburn, offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled finance professional to manage the statutory audit process and contribute to continuous improvement projects within the finance function.

Your new role
As the Finance Manager for Audit, you will play a vital role in managing the statutory audit process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and transparency. Your responsibilities will include leading the statutory external audit process, managing audit task trackers, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing robust internal controls. You will also be involved in various continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing internal controls, balance sheet reconciliations, local statutory accounts, month-end processes, and financial reporting practices.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will hold a finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with experience working in an Audit role, with no previous experience within industry required. You will need strong organisational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. You should have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary up to £57K, plus a bonus and generous benefits. You will work full-time onsite at modern offices in Blackburn, and will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment that values continuous improvement and professional development. You will be part of a team that is committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and compliance, with opportunities to make a significant impact on the finance function. There is the chance with this role to influence the direction your career will move into within the wider finance team as you progress, whether into the Group finance function, or a more commercial focused role, for example.
