Our distribution client is growing and looking for a new Senior Accountant in Denver! This is a fantastic hybrid opportunity with a company in a cool industry and it has great compensation and benefits!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries and ensure the accuracy of General Ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile bank and company credit card statements.
  • Fixed asset and depreciation schedule maintenance
  • Assist with other month-end close processes.
  • Assist with internal or external monthly/quarterly reporting needs.
  • Calculate Sales Commissions
  • Prepare tax filings - Sales Tax Returns, Personal Property, and other filings as needed.
  • Maintain Business Licenses and Secretary of State compliance.
  • Process 1099s at year end.
  • Assist with Financial and Bank audits.
  • Manage and reconcile Accounts Receivables.
  • Create new customer accounts and maintain existing accounts, requesting Credit Apps and Exemption certificates and performing credit checks.
  • Verifying and maintaining Certificates of Insurance (COI) for customers
  • Maintain AR aging report by sending timely and consistent collection payment requests and past-due notices on customer accounts.
  • Put accounts on credit hold as needed and adequately communicate any credit holds with the sales and aftersales departments.
  • Application of cash receipts to accounts receivable.
  • Equipment and Rental Billing
  • Support and backup to Accounts Payables.
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team or with other departments.
  • Perform additional accounting and tax-related assignments per supervisor's direction.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Hands-on knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Experience with Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Business compliance is preferred.


COMPENSATION:
  • $80,000 - $90,000
  • 3 weeks PTO
