Internal Audit - Data InternCountry: United States of AmericaThe Internal Audit Summer Internship role will provide the intern with an opportunity to participate in audits and gain a stronger understanding of the audit profession within the Banking industry. The primary function of the Auditor is to execute basic audit testing as part of internal audit reviews and activities. They will perform testing in a timely manner, ensuring all audit quality and client relation standards are met.
This 2025 Summer Internship is a 10-week program for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

Essential Functions:
The intern will be introduced to Technology, Data & Advanced Analytics and Automation teams within Audit. While working in the tech track you will be aligned to analytics and line of business teams to build subject matter expertise to support deeper audits and participate in initiatives to automate testing procedures. Specifically, the intern will perform the following tasks:
Gain exposure to external research, business systems and data tools that will help you further develop your career and analytical abilities including Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Python, Tableau, or PowerBI
Contribute to audit planning: Collaborate with senior auditors to gather and analyze data, assess risks, and develop strategies to ensure effective audit execution.
Execute audit testing work: Participate in executing audit testing procedures under the guidance of experienced auditors. This involves conducting detailed examinations of data related to different line of business teams, internal controls, and operational processes to verify compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Summarize results to present anomalies, error rates and dollar impact from anomalies / exceptions.
Requirements:
An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between December 2025 - Spring 2026
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above, with Preferred majors include Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Business and Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or any other applicable area of study.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Strong programming capability, ability to solve problems through programming and simulation.
Experience with one or more tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, AWS, Text Mining Tools, SQL Server.
A passion for detail, accuracy, reliability, and speed coupled with desire for data exploration to reveal deeper insights, business process improvement opportunities and areas of potential risk.
Ability to work independently and within teams
Eager to learn and take on new responsibilities
Availability for entire internship program
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.
