High-Growth PE backed start-upcompany headquartered out of Boston is looking for an Senior Accountant to add to the team! This individual will be responsible for for Accounting, Financial Reporting, Payroll, and Cash Management.
This newly created, add-to-staff role will report directly into the Controller, as well as directly interacting with the CFO, Leadership Team & Acquisition Teams. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to grow their career with a complex, global company. Inventory / Cost Accounting experience is a plus but not required - Public Accounting experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly closing of financials for multiple manufacturing facilities in various states in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies
- Help design, implement and enforce effective controls, accounting processes, systems and procedures
- Direct ownership of the Fixed Asset ledger, and related capitalization, depreciation, and inventory
- Demonstrated ability to partner with various departments and effectively deliver results including Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations and Internal Audit.
- Financial reporting for strategic decision-support as it relates to Fixed Assets
- Mentor and coach Staff level Accountants
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and review annual/quarterly budgets vs. actual operating statements on property and managing entity level
- Direct point of contact for External Auditors for related matters
- Review the work of junior-level staff
- Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Inventory / Cost / Consolidations all a plus
- Public Accounting experience is required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Interest in growing with the organization
