We’re now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance and Insight team! Reporting directly to the Finance Director, they'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, tracking performance, and preparing financial statements. Their insights will help drive business decisions, support growth, and ensure profitability by delivering timely, accurate financial reports.



To achieve this, our new Management Accountant will:


  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded in the GP accounting system.
  • Develop and oversee financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a management accounts reporting model with relevant updates, such as the rollover of the financial year and code mapping.
  • Review all aspects of management accounts with both forward-looking and retrospective views.
  • Produce monthly accounts in a timely manner, providing clear and relevant analysis and narrative.
  • Support the FD in preparing the annual budget and recurring re-forecasting processes.
  • Maintain the financial plan to ensure a timely and accurate re-forecasting process.
  • Manage the income reconciliation process, developing and maintaining a robust system to ensure all income recognized in the financial statements is received.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide accounting team members to foster a high-performing team.
  • Deputise for the Finance Director when required.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed within specific timeframes.
  • Oversee Risk Management and Compliance responsibilities, including preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC, filing regular reports to the FCA, and reviewing monthly payroll prepared by the People department.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards, and company policies, staying up-to-date with industry, compliance, and regulatory developments.
  • Oversee the annual audit process to ensure efficient execution, maintaining clear communication and regular updates with all stakeholders.



Qualifications and experience:



Qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW, with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience.
