Are you an experienced credit controller with a track record of reducing aged debt and looking for an opportunity to utilise those skills to support our business.
Our PIB Group office has an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and personable person to join a busy Finance team of 9.
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing your own set of the Letting Agent customer accounts ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
Utilising all the resources available to you along your initiative and determined mind you will tackle some of the problematic accounts and get to the root of any issues to ensure accounts are paid up to date.
Starting salary £24,500 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities -
- Chasing debt by telephone and email and reducing debtor days.
- Responsible for ensuring payment of customer invoices is within the agreed payment terms.
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
- Resolving billing queries both internally and externally.
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Making recommendations for legal action to collect monies owed if necessary.
- Ensuring notes and actions are clearly recorded in the credit control system.
- Communicating and managing customer repayment plans as agreed with management.
- Able to work well within a team and alone.
- Using judgement and acting upon it to recognise where advice and support is needed to resolve account problems.
- Building and maintaining relationships resulting in payments being on time and/or early.
- The suspension of services where necessary, ensuring the overdue debt is controlled.
- Allocating cash accurately to customer accounts.
- Ability to produce aged debtor reports to management as and when required.
- Supply any ad hoc analysis on request.
- Undertake additional task and project work across the finance team.
- Previous experience of working in a finance department with exposure to credit control.
- Good IT skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting systems.
- AAT part qualified (Desirable)
