Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Control Validator - Electronic Trading Risk & Controls for a 6 months contract based in London - Hybrid.
Purpose of the Role:
This role is within the Electronic Trading Risk & Control Management Team, a global front office team within the COO division. The team is responsible for ensuring that Automated Risk Controls (ARCs) facilitate the prevention of E-Trading risks, such as market, conduct risk & algorithmic trading risk.

As a Control Validator - Electronic Trading Risk & Controls you will be responsible for:
- Conduct reviews of control design specifications.
- Perform control effectiveness assurance.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to conduct limit assessments.
- Identify process improvements for assessing adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
- Investigating and responding to electronic trading risk control issues.
What we require from the candidate:
- Experience writing test cases and reviewing test evidence related to pre-trade electronic trading controls.
- Experience writing policies/procedures for technical testing of algorithms.
- Experience reviewing risk limits.
- Risk Control Self Assessment - RCSA policy/procedure documentation experience.
