About Our Client:
Our client is a UK-based technology company specialising in delivery management solutions for the ecommerce and retail sectors. Since 2010, they have been enhancing shipping, tracking, and delivery operations to improve customer experience and streamline logistics processes. As they continue to grow, they're seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Management Accountant to join their team on an initial 6-month fixed-term basis, with potential for extension.

The Role:
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting our clients financial operations and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll oversee accounting processes, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations. This role requires a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail, with the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting processes, including month-end close, VAT returns, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with standards.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to drive financial efficiencies.
• Provide insights into financial risks and opportunities, leveraging data analytics.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc project work supporting the CFO.

What Were Looking For:

• Qualifications: ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven track record as a Management Accountant, preferably in the software or mobile telecoms industry. Familiarity with AIM-listed companies is a bonus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero is preferred, and advanced Excel skills.
• Mindset: Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex information clearly.
