We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a global manufacturing company. The role will be part of their small and friendly UK team based at their modern offices near Bracknell, where there is on-site parking.
Reporting to the Finance Manager the ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of double entry bookkeeping experience and transactional accounting duties.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records and managing the sales ledger, including invoicing, account reconciliations, and credit control. You will also oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and staff expenses. Additional tasks include processing month-end journal entries for prepayments, accruals, and depreciation, handling VAT returns, performing bank reconciliations, and reconciling supplier statements. You will also provide support to the Finance Manager when required.
The ideal candidate will have.
Proven experience in an accounts assistant/bookkeeping role.
Solid knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
Experience with sales and purchase ledger.
Confident in processing VAT returns.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
The salary on offer is up to £36,000 with benefits including non-contributory Pension, Private Healthcare and Death-in-Service.
