As such, we are looking to recruit a full time, permanent Senior Accountant to join our Ashton-in-Makerfield office. We have a varied client base, from multi-million pound companies to sole traders, partnerships, clubs and charities.
The Role
As a senior accountant you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, ensuring that high standards are met. You will liaise directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries. You must ensure compliance with accounting standards and current legislation.

Requirements
You must be residing in the UK currently, have UK based experience and not require a sponsorship to apply for this position.
This position is office based Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

The key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
- Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies, including all tax computations and capital allowance calculations, from both manual and digital records - not relying on computer based software feeds
- Preparation of self assessment, partnership and CT600 tax returns
- Use various software, e.g Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, Tax Calc, VT, Microsoft Excel
- Anti-Money Laundering compliance
- Train clients on various digital systems if required
- Attend courses when required
Requirements
- ACCA, AAT, ATT would be desired, however we welcome applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience but have decided not to pursue formal studies
- Minimum 3 years experience of working in an accountancy practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
