Accountant - Permanent
£30,000pa - £45,000pa - Crewe
We are supporting a fantastic growing business based in Crewe looking for an experienced Accountant / Accountants to join their team on a full-time basis.
There is x2 Accountant roles available. x1 vacancy is a Senior Accountant and x1 is an Accountant vacancy for someone with slightly less experience.
As a successful candidate you will have a strong background in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, with a focus on working within an accountancy practice. The Senior Accountant will provide support in managing a diverse client portfolio, prepare financial accounts and cover various aspects of taxation. The candidate will also assist in the mentoring and development of junior team members. As an Accountant you will be providing a supportive role to managers across a diverse client portfolio which will see you working across a range of taxes and accounts across a range of sectors.
Salary is dependent on experience but ranging from £30,000pa up to £45,000pa and has flexible hybrid working.
Responsibilities as a Senior Accountant:
Provide support to our directors in the management of a portfolio of clients, including individuals, SMEs, and larger businesses across various sectors.
Serve as a key point of contact for client queries, delivering excellent service and maintaining strong relationships.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, or other relevant accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines for annual filings and tax submissions.
Prepare and review corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns for clients.
Provide partner support in tax advisory services, including tax planning, structuring, and compliance advice.
Lead on the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, offering insights on performance and helping clients make informed decisions.
Assist clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
Responsibilities as an Accountant:
Maintain clients' financial records by using the latest digital software (e.g., Xero and QuickBooks) and innovative tools / apps.
Serve as a point of contact for client queries, delivering excellent service and maintaining strong relationships.
Support in the new client on-boarding process and ensure excellent client relationships are delivered from the beginning.
Prepare full working papers and produce financial statements for non-audit limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from the accounting records of our clients.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines for annual filings and tax submissions.
Prepare corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns for clients.
Support and mentor apprentice accountants as well as your peers to improve team performance.Requirements:
ACCA Qualified - Desirable.
Qualified by experience will still be considered.
Extensive experience in an accountancy practice.
Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
