Assistant Accountant

Lincoln
Salary:
£30,000 per annum & Study Support
Our clients are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a family-owned high growth and successful business, who strive to be industry leaders.
The Role
Prepare VAT returns including supporting analysis as required, and preparing accounts analysis to support corporation tax returns
Ensure tax deliverables are reconciled and in line with requirements and delivered on time
Processing cash transactions
Reconciling bank accounts
Reconciling as necessary, supplier accounts which have been paid by direct debit
Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements where relevant
Prepare regular reports on debtors, payment status and proactively chase debts
Play an active role in the digital transformation programme relating to accounts receivable, identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes and implement best practices
Skills and Qualifications
AAT qualified
Confident communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals with financial and non-financial backgrounds
