We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our school client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage software and be adept at handling day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management within our educational environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
* Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoices using Sage software
* Process payments and manage petty cash
* Support budget preparation and financial planning
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded
* Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager
* Ensure compliance with school policies and financial regulations
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external suppliers regarding financial matters
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
* Proficiency in Sage software
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
Education and Experience:
* A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
* Previous experience in an educational environment is a plus
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
