Junior Cost Accountant - Howick
Our respectable client is seeking an experienced Junior Cost Accountant to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:

• Maintain and update cost accounting systems and procedures specific to manufacturing operations
• Analyse and allocate costs to various operations
• Conduct variance analysis to identify factors impacting production costs
• Analyse inventory variances and implement corrective measures to optimize resource utilization
• Monitor project costs and provide financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from planting to harvest
• Ensure all BOMs and costings relating to BOMs are maintained
• Work together with sales team to report on sales of stock and sales channels
• Work together with the financial manager to ensure Costing reports are accurate and on time
• Some supervision of junior finance personnel will be required

Requirements

• CIMA qualification preferred, or a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in similar roles (Post-articles)
• Strong grasp of manufacturing and FMCG costing processes and inventory management
• Solid understanding of general ledger transactions and financial reporting
• Proficient in developing and maintaining sales reporting systems
