Multinational financial services and investment group seeks to employ an analytical and engaging Head of Credit Risk to form part of their EXCO and steer business forward by implementation and maintenance of affordability and rating models.

The role will be based in Sandton. Hybrid working applies.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role will be to oversee all aspects of credit risk management. Responsibilities include developing and implementing credit risk strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and optimize credit portfolio.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Credit Risk Management
• Credit Portfolio Management
• Credit Underwriting
• Risk Reporting and Analysis
• Regulatory Compliance

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance / Mathematics / Statistics
• CFA / MBA preferred

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 8 to 10 years' experience in credit risk management, within the investment management space required
• Investment Management or Funding industry experience essential
• Experience with building rating and affordability models essential, including predictive modeling
• Experience in developing and implementing credit risk and underwriting policies and procedures
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong business partnering and reporting skills
• Business and financial acumen
• Meticulous attention to detail
