Lead the strong Finance team to ensure efficient and effective financial operations and administration.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum Job Requirements:
- C.A. (S.A.) essential.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Financial Manager, leading and managing a team.
- MS Office (Excel Advanced, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SAP experience, a strong advantage.
Report to the Financial Director:
- Financial Control and Accounting:
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual statistical data is compiled and reported.
- Ensure the financial accounting complies with IFRS.
- Monitor changes to accounting standards to ensure continued compliance.
- Review general ledger reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting and Budget:
- Monthly preparation and publication of management accounts to EXCO.
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports.
- Prepare annual budget with full set of financial statements (statement of income and expenditures, statement of financial position, statement of cash flows).
- Accounts Payable:
- Review creditor reconciliations.
- Authorise payments.
- Fixed Assets:
- Review Fixed Asset Register and reconciliation of assets.
- Review capital expenditure requests.
- Manage the preparation of annual capital expenditure budgets and review of reports for capital expenditure.
- Provide assistance to the business in evaluating capital acquisitions.
- Attend tender adjudication meetings for Capex acquisitions.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Manage collections and arrears.
- Authorise customer credit limits.
- Assist in resolving customer queries where needed.
- Review all outstanding customer accounts and confirm collectability.
- Taxation:
- Review monthly VAT returns, ensuring that all payments are calculated and submitted and paid within respective timelines.
- Prepare and submit annual tax return.
- Staff Management:
- Set departmental and individual objectives, to meet strategic objectives.
- Ensure the effective management of the department/team by actively contributing to and supporting the company's people management agenda.
- Evaluate and manage employee performance and implement corrective or remedial action where needed.
- Identify, support and implement learning and development needs in collaboration with People Management.
- Support transformation, execution and achievement of the company's EE plan.
- General:
- Attend to adhoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Director.
- Develop financial reporting tools to assist with amongst others management accounts, product costing, profit analysis, new business assessment and capital expenditure.
- Manage the online banking profile and provide first level support to the enrolled online banking employees and Managers.
