Our growing service based client are looking to recruit a Management Accountant
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will work in collaboration with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners & accountants. This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified accountant who is looking to take their finance career to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
* Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
* Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.
* Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
* Assist in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
* Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.
* Other ad hoc projects as required by Finance Director or Financial Controller.
* Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
* Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to facilitate a smooth month-end process.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA or a part-qualified accountant qualified by experience
* Great attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Experienced in Microsoft Excel
* Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
* Willingness to learn
* Team player
