Looking for a role where you can add significant value and drive profitability?

About the Financial Analyst Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Revenue Assurance Manager to join our team in Canterbury. This is a unique opportunity to establish a new role within our finance department and play a key part in maximising revenue and supporting growth. You’ll work closely with Sales, Finance, Billing, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate billing, investigate discrepancies, and drive efficiency across our services.

Financial Analyst Duties

Revenue Analysis:
  • Conduct analysis on loss-making services and calls, working with Commercial and Sales teams to improve margins.
  • Support customer profitability by tracking closed sales against billing, reviewing WIP (work-in-progress) vs billing, and managing tariffing on call charges.
  • Maintain oversight of maintenance contracts to ensure profitability, assist in annual RPI (Retail Price Index) adjustments, and consolidate the product portfolio for optimal pricing.

Process Enhancement:
  • Develop new and refined revenue analysis processes to maximise billing system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Controller to identify trends and address potential process improvements that drive business growth.

Reporting:
  • Prepare and present monthly reports to the Finance Management team, highlighting key revenue gains, margin improvements, and areas for optimisation.
  • Build and maintain a tracking system to log savings, track performance, and improve management information (MI) reporting.

Customer Billing Experience:
  • Help enhance customer experience by identifying potential billing errors and ensuring charges are accurately reflected.
  • Drive timely billing by managing product naming conventions and staying updated on charges based on supplier reconciliations.

Team Support & Development:
  • Serve as a point of contact for the cost analysis team, conducting regular check-ins to keep the team task-focused and proactive.

About You:
  • Experience: Background in data-driven analysis within finance, billing, or revenue assurance, ideally as a Finance Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel is essential, with SQL skills highly desirable. Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Analytical: You thrive on working with data to spot trends, solve problems, and bring a hands-on approach to achieving results.
  • Communication: Strong skills in collaborating with various teams to drive process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Able to think outside the box, investigate data thoroughly, and play a key role in driving profitability.

Why Join Us?
  • Growth Potential: This is a new role with the opportunity to shape and develop the position, including the potential to build a team.
  • Supportive Environment: Work alongside SQL and data analysis experts, with plenty of opportunities to upskill and expand your capabilities.
  • Impactful Work: Help drive revenue growth, enhance customer billing, and increase profitability through accurate reporting and strategic improvements.

About the Company:

Join a rapidly growing company with over 2,000 employees and 20,000 customers, generating £22 million in revenue monthly. With recent acquisitions and new billing systems, this role will be essential in navigating these changes smoothly.
