We are looking for someone to join our Finance Team at Head Office, IP3 9SJ.
We are searching for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who will go above and beyond to provide a first-class service to all the Society’s customers. This will be achieved by producing work of the highest standards and ensuring that all service standards are met.
You will take satisfaction in ensuring that the data used in all reports, whether regulatory, internal, or external, is accurate and complete.
Salary and working hours:
Annual salary of £18,720, FTE (£21,840 per annum)
Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm (30 hours a week). Hybrid working available upon successful completion of probationary period.

Your day-to-day activities
- To be responsible for the processing of incoming & outgoing customer payments (Chaps, Faster Payments & BACs).
- To be responsible for posting entries such as invoices & staff expenses and processing a weekly BACs payment run.
- To assist the Finance Team with providing customer service to branch, savings & mortgage internal teams. Being responsible for Unpaid Direct Debits, Unpaid & Stopped Cheques.
- To be responsible for reconciling & performing checks on entries through Society cheque bank account.
- To support the team by providing cover for other members of the Finance Team when necessary.
About you
As a Finance Assistant, you will have:
- A keen interest in Finance and an aptitude for figures
- The ability to use IT programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI
- Excellent attention to detail and drive for accuracy
- Effective communication skills and a can-do attitude
