Our business operates across over 20 countries and covers the entire value chain of the retail foreign exchange industry. In our retail business, we operate over 1,100 stores in the some of the world’s top international airports by international passenger numbers and in major transport hubs, premium shopping malls, high street locations, supermarkets and city centres. We have a growing network of over 900 ATMs at both on-airport and off-airport locations around the world.

In addition, we source and distribute large quantities of foreign currency banknotes for customers on a wholesale basis including central banks and international financial institutions. We also offer a range of remittance and international money transfer products around the world.

The Role

We have an amazing opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join our team based in our Peterborough office. As a Risk Analyst, you will play an important role in the Third Party Risk Management team where you will assist the Third Party Governance Manager developing and maturing the third party assurance process. The Risk Analyst will play an important role in the Third Party Management Team administrating and analysing information from the Third Party Assurance Tool. The ideal candidate will have a risk and compliance background, be process driven, a hands-on contributor and excellent communicator.

Key duties:

Third Party Assurance System Administration

Administration and ongoing maintenance of the Third Party Register, including the co-ordination of assessment activities, assisting with third party queries and providing training when required.

Monitor third party assessments and take remedial actions where required.

Undertake specific improvement initiatives and manage small projects to develop and improve the scope and quality of data in the third party module used by Travelex.

Tracking and Reporting

Produce accurate, timely and relevant MI for use in entity, function, country and global risk profile mapping in line with Compliance and Risk requirements.

Assist in the development of reports as required by stakeholders.

Third Party Risk Governance

Develop and maintain a network of contacts globally to develop and maintain an understanding of all business areas and products to be able to provide support with supplier reviews.

Work with different business areas to further develop an appropriate level of maturity with third party risk processes and ensure consistency, agreeing action plans where appropriate.

Assist in the continual development and implementation of metrics to help provide meaningful information for both the function and other business stakeholders to better understand our third party risk landscape.

Team Responsibilities

Assist in the training of key stakeholder in the third party assurance processes.

Co-ordinate team meetings, action plans, performance stats and continuous improvement activities as required.

Knowledge / Experience:

Experience working in a risk and compliance background.

Well organised, able to plan and co-ordinate multiple requirements and priorities simultaneously according to the demands of the function and business.

Excellent attention to detail and able to drive the right business outcome.

You will work off your own initiative and be able to look beyond face value, ask the right questions and use your strong investigative and analytical skills to identify connections across the organisation.

Ability to work under time pressure and to deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

University degree or Risk Qualification desirable.

Proven record of success in working collaboratively as part of a team.
