Commercial services company in Johannesburg West seeks to employ a Financial Accountant. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Finance Executive.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful incumbent will work together with the Finance Executive to develop and manage a functional finance team.

Some duties include:

• Monthly Profit and Loss review
• Management Accounts submission to group
• Assist with annual year-end pack and budgets
• Assist with quarterly board reports
• Preparing monthly reports
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
• Depreciation posting journals
• Calculate, reconcile and submit monthly VAT
• Assist with preparing monthly journals
• Assist with Annual Internal and External Audit.
• Oversight of creditors and cashbook administration
• Monthly stock counts

Education:
Completed BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 4 to 5 years' experience in an accounting position essential
• Product / stock environment experience essential
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Working knowledge of VAT and Tax
• Good communication and relationship building skills
