To lead a team of Credit Analysts as a Chartered Accountant (Finance Business Partner), ensuring optimal credit management and compliance within the organization. This role will provide strategic financial insights and guidance aligned with the organization's credit objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Credit Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and evaluations to support sound lending decisions.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business strategy and improve credit performance.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant financial regulations related to credit management.
- Prepare and present reports on credit performance to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Monitor credit risk exposure and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the credit assessment and management process.
- Act as a subject matter expert on credit analysis, providing strategic financial guidance to business partners and executives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Education:
- Honours Degree in Accounting (Financial Accounting or Commerce).
- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA) is mandatory.
- Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in credit analysis or management, preferably in the financial sector
- Strong understanding of credit practices and finance business partnering.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and its application in credit management.
- Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and decision-making capabilities.
