We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing and dynamic Scotland Corporate Tax team who will be responsible for the corporate tax affairs of a broad client portfolio.
The Role
The mix of work will be varied as the client base of the corporate tax team is across a diverse range of business sectors both within the local Scottish market and also our London client base.
Duties will mainly include working with more senior members of the team on the corporation tax compliance aspects of the portfolio, including preparation of corporation tax returns and computations, advising on payment dates and dealing with all other administrative matters. There will also be the opportunity to assist in tax advisory projects.
The Team
The Scotland corporation tax team consists of one Partner, three Senior Managers, four Managers, three Assistant Managers, four seniors and seven trainees.
The team cover all the major accounting and tax disciplines including accounts, audit and tax for companies, in Scotland and all over the UK. Work is undertaken for large multi-national companies, family businesses, and a vibrant and varied combination of local, national and international clients.
The team is welcoming and inclusive and has a mix of office-based workers in Edinburgh and Inverness and remote workers across Scotland. You
The candidate should be hard working, show initiative and be self-motivated, with the ability to organise their own workload. They will display a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively with partners and clients. They will also be a natural team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and an excellent eye for detail.
Candidates will require recent practical experience of running a corporate tax portfolio, and providing tax advice to owner-managed businesses, with a detailed and up to date working. Applicants should be preferably CTA and/or ACA qualified.
