Purpose of role:

Collaborating with the Senior Accountant on both regular and one-time activities to ensure precise preparation of financial and management accounts. Overseeing financial compliance, which encompasses statutory accounting, audits, and the submission of actuals and budgets for the organisation. Assisting stakeholders throughout Europe in guaranteeing that financial transactions are fully and accurately documented.

Main accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the production of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and other required reports.
  • Prepare and post journals to ensure complete and accurate accounting.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations to be prepared and submitted timely into Blackline.
  • Execute accounting clearing.
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with GRIR reconciliation and ensure the clearance is done monthly. Run and update the monthly report and chase / update the actions identified in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Accountant during budget process.
  • Contribute to the preparation and timely submission of weekly cashflow forecast.
  • Participate in maintaining an up-to-date asset under construction ledger by preparing monthly reports, ensuring projects are not overrun and closed timely.
  • Support and assist during the year end close.
  • Assist with transfer pricing calculations.
  • Support the year end stock count process.
  • Assist the Accountant and wider SSC team with finance projects and ad-hoc requests.
  • Any other tasks aligned to the delivery of Shared Service centre and required to support colleagues and stakeholders.



Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic and busy environments.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team.


Minimum Requirements:

Educated: A level as a minimum, degree level preferred. Studying towards a professional qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar

Experience: Prior experience of working in a large finance department within a multi-national organisation. SAP or similar ERP system experience is required.

Location and Travel requirements: Position is part of the European Shared Service Centre team in Harlow (UK). 3 days per week minimum in Harlow office as part of hybrid working plan.
