NXTGEN are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our client, a leading law firm, on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to support internal stakeholders by delivering vital financial advice and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
As a Finance Assistant, you will provide essential financial guidance and play a key role in assisting with financial data and reporting to support business decision-making.
Key
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or working towards qualification, with a solid understanding of financial analysis and reporting. Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within professional services, is desirable. You will have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Salary £30k - £35k depending on experience.

- Provide financial support and advice to partners and the wider business.
- Assist in managing month-end processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Produce accurate financial reports to support performance management and planning.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure financial targets are met.
- Assist with the development and improvement of financial systems and processes.
