**Financial Accountant - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract**

Accountable Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic UK-based PE-backed organisation seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.

**Role Overview:**

This opportunity is perfect for a highly skilled and immediately available Financial Accountant who is eager to join a forward-thinking team in Liverpool. The role involves a hybrid working model, offering flexibility and a chance to work in a central location.

**Salary/Benefits:**

- Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
- 35-hour working week with flexible working arrangements

**Key

Responsibilities:
**

- Assist the Group Financial Controller with the month-end close process and production of monthly management account balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure the maintenance of a robust financial control environment.
- Prepare regulatory and other financial compliance returns, managing any related inquiries.
- Handle routine tax compliance returns for VAT, including the weekly review of tax codes.
- Support the preparation of year-end group accounts and the audit process.
- Aid in the production of year-end group reporting.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with stakeholder requests as needed.

**Reporting Line:**

You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.

**Ideal Candidate:**

- ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience in a year-end focused Financial Accountant role
- Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling bulk data/system exports and utilising appropriate formulas.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within the business.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Highly organised, able to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet continual tight deadlines.
- Experience working with external advisers is a plus.
