Are you an experienced Management Accountant with a background in Construction? We're working with a leading organisation who is recruiting for a qualified Management Accountant to join their team.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you'll play a crucial part in the finance team, responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, analyzing financial reports, and offering key insights to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, conducting variance analysis and offering insightful commentary.
  • Lead the month-end processes and manage the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Take ownership of business unit reporting packs and cash receipt tracking, presenting findings to the operational team.
  • Support the audit process by preparing relevant documentation and resolving queries.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews, including aged creditor and debtor reports, and work closely with AR and AP teams.
  • Cost monitoring and control, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead or support various financial projects aimed at improving business processes and implementing standardization.
  • Oversee VAT returns, expense claims, and manual payment requests.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, aligning financial objectives with project goals.


What You'll Need

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • Experience in the construction or housebuilding sector is essential
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
