Qualifications required:
- BCom Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management or similar field of study.
Skills and experience required:
- 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar position.
- Automotive Retail / Dealership experience is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of accounting and tax concepts.
- Understanding of the service, parts, sales and financial services departments within the dealership environment.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Sound financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Deadline and results driven.
- Journal entries
- Management accountants, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet accounts.
- General Ledger.
- Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP's) are adhered to.
- Risk management.
- Conduct reconciliation of vehicles, parts, and service assets, verify against accounting records and address all anomalies with senior line management.
- Management of all assets (cash, fixed assets, etc)
- Perform reconciliations of financial records to enable verification of the validity of transactions.
- Report on key performance metrics and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Policies and procedures.
- Budget variances and solutions.
- Payments and debtors.
- Identifying cost saving initiatives and opportunities to increase profitability.
- Ensure accurate billing of accounts and charges.
- VAT returns and SARS compliance.
- Plan, manage and monitor processes to ensure customer service excellence.
- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships.
