An international oil, mining and commodity trading firm is looking for a Risk Analyst to join their Risk team!Duties & ResponsibilitiesJob Description:
The Risk Department is responsible for managing front-line trading and ensuring that senior management understands the risk-reward ratio of the trading books.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate and run the desk's P&L and risk reports daily.
• Provide assistance with developing and improving reports, systems, and processes.
• Effectively communicate results to traders and managers.
• Identify and communicate issues that may cause surprises in advance, and ensuring that reports and measurements reflect them.
• Engage in regular discussions with Risk Managers.
• Present issues clearly and logically to relevant teams.
• Occasionally perform ad hoc tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (i.e. Risk Management, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Honours Degree advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 2 to 3 years of work experience in the same or similar field preferred.
• Proficient in Excel.
• VBA and Python coding skills are advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to diverse audiences on all levels within teams.
• The ability to multitask and manage priorities well is imperative.
• Excellent attention to the details and accuracy of the data, to ensure that the analysis results in tangible company benefits, frequently within a tight deadline.
