About the Opportunity:
The NBL is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, maintaining compliance with company policies, and fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organised, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, review, and process supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Obtain payment approvals from department heads and prepare/upload payment batches for timely disbursement.
- Reconcile credit card purchases and review coding via Weel expense management.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate and timely recording of all payments.
- Maintain accurate and organised digital records of accounts payable transactions and approvals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier communications, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of accounts payable processes, including exploring new AP software.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.
About You:
- Extensive experience in accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective supplier and internal interactions.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing and record-keeping.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growth, constantly evolving environment.
- Experience with MYOB (preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft systems and products (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements within the accounts payable function.
