We are recruiting for a Payroll Manager who will be accountable for the delivery of a first-class payroll service, processing efficient and accurate monthly and lunar payrolls up to £20 million per month.
You will take on the management of employee data and payroll processing to ensure our employees are paid correctly and on time. This includes pensions management, dealing with emerging issues, system and service developments and improvements.

To be successful you will be an experienced Payroll Manager with proven capability to lead, develop and motivate a team and create a first class payroll team. You will be highly numerate and analytical and have a strong understanding of manual payroll principles and a thorough understanding of payroll processes.
Qualifications & Technical skills
We encourage flexible working to fit your individual needs, as well as the team's - that could be from the office, from home or a mixture of both, we do however recommend at least 1 day a week in the office with your team to build team morale. Our offices are based in Morley, Leeds.

We are recruiting for a Payroll Manager who will be accountable for the delivery of a first-class payroll service, processing efficient and accurate monthly and lunar payrolls up to £20 million per month.
You will take on the management of employee data and payroll processing to ensure our employees are paid correctly and on time. This includes pensions management, dealing with emerging issues, system and service developments and improvements.
You will be accountable for:
- Strategically lead the payroll team, overseeing compliance of procedures and the payroll system. Undertaking checking and auditing both payrolls.
- Overall responsibility for the preparation of all payroll activities including payroll payments, reports and forecasts including tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and payroll management reports.
- Preparation of P11ds
- Accountable for payroll sign off and liaising with the Finance team ensure BACS is processed.
- Provide leadership, coaching and recognition to team members. Leading engagement to maintain morale and ensure team objectives support the overall Evri HR People Plan and business objectives.
- Be accountable for the day-to-day performance of the payroll team, effectively managing workloads utilising a case management system to set clear agreed SLA's and KPI's.
- Be solutions focussed through proactive scoping of new solutions and efficiency opportunities. Adapt to times of change and put in place temporary processes when needed.
- Maintain a compliance culture, leading appropriate internal/external audit activity.
- Closely collaborate with the People Services Leadership Team & Finance, working cohesively to create forecasts, roadmaps, payroll trending and process improvements.
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation developments and assess the impact on the business and team processes.

Qualifications & Technical skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency in payroll software (ideally Cascade HR & Payroll)
- Extensive working knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance affecting PAYE
