Role overview:

This role is responsible for the reporting of financial information, including but not limited to: Monthly departmental management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations. You will provide variance analysis, commercial insight and budgetary and forecast information and well as ad hoc insights. This role will also provide support to the business on financial aspects of Group projects, including system migration and integration of acquired businesses as required. You’ll also provide technical support for annual audit process.

Responsibilities:



  • To co-ordinate delivery of financial information based on Group level reporting requirements to key stakeholders. To support the Group consolidation of financial results as required;

  • To ensure the accuracy of the underlying accounting records of the Group;

  • To review financial information and provide commentary on results against budget, forecast, and expectations, liaising with and providing support and insight to key non-finance stakeholders as appropriate;

  • To take ownership over areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet;

  • To support with the year-end process, liaising with the external auditors as appropriate;

  • To keep up to date with accounting developments and assess the impact of proposed changes on the Group;

  • To provide financial input to multi-functional projects including post-acquisition integrations.

  • To provide insightful advice and commercially focussed analysis to key finance and non-finance stakeholders, and support on relevant

  • To effectively co-ordinate relevant activities with the rest of the Finance team as appropriate;

  • To provide support to the Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners as required.



What will you need to succeed?


  • Graduate or part qualified accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA / AAT;

  • Technically strong, with a good understanding of IFRS and minimum requirements of financial control;

  • Able to communicate at all levels across the business;

  • Able to assess and respond to the needs of the business;

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the team in delivering to specific reporting deadlines;

  • A self-starter who proactively challenges status quo and identifies areas for improvement;

  • Commercially astute, capable of understanding trends and business drivers;

  • Dynamic, challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement of reporting, processes and analysis;

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a collaborative manner;

  • Honest, maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality;

  • Experience gained in related SaaS, technology or other subscription-based services would be advantageous.
