Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring financial accuracy? Our client in the recycling industry is looking for a motivated individual to join their team in Port Elizabeth.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do:
Financial Transactions:
- Ensure Accuracy: Manage financial transactions and reporting with precision.
- Record Keeping: Log transaction details—date, amount, and purpose—using accounting software or paper systems.
- Payment Processing: Prepare checks for creditors based on their requests and make timely payments to maintain strong relationships.
- Account Management: Review account statements and follow up on delinquent accounts to collect payments efficiently.
- Invoice Verification: Process and verify invoices from suppliers against purchase orders and delivery receipts, ensuring all calculations are correct and goods/services received.
- Data Entry: Input invoice details into the accounting system or ERP software accurately.
- Online Banking: Load authorized payments onto the online banking platform seamlessly.
- Support Audits: Assist auditors with inquiries and handle various administrative tasks as needed.
- Education: Completed Grade 12 (Matric) with further education in finance or procurement.
- Experience: 3-5 years in accounts payable and receivable, as well as purchasing.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP and EMA systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical Thinking: Strong negotiation and critical thinking abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized and proactive.
