Corporate Tax Manager
Are you a skilled tax professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? Our client is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing team. Key
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Manage relationships and act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent service and identifying further work opportunities.
Compliance and Advisory Work: Undertake complex compliance work, review work done by junior team members, and work on various advisory projects.
Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the year, practicing excellent client service principles.
Tax Compliance and Planning: Ensure clients’ tax affairs comply with statutory requirements, manage compliance work efficiently, and identify tax planning opportunities.
Project Management: Manage assignments according to the firm’s procedures, including cost arrangements and ensuring targeted recovery.
Business Development: Research and support preparation of proposals for new work, participate in formal presentations, and engage in business development activities and client seminars.
Internal Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to identify and service potential client needs, and develop a detailed knowledge of the firm’s specialist services.
Technical Knowledge and CPD: Maintain advanced technical knowledge through reading and courses, fulfilling CPD requirements.
Staff Management: Act as a line manager for staff, actively participate in their development, provide on-the-job training, and conduct appraisals.
Supervision and Briefing: Brief junior staff on clients and pre-assignment instructions, supervise and control work completion.
About You to be considered for this role, you will have some of the following:
Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification (or equivalent).
Experience: Significant experience in managing a broad portfolio of corporate tax clients.
Client Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Technical Expertise: Up-to-date technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
People Management: Strong people management skills, with experience in developing and mentoring junior staff.
Business Development: Demonstrable experience in business development and preparing proposals.
Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Flexibility: Ability to balance hybrid working and meet the demands of a dynamic work environment.
