The Senior Finance Analyst - SCM is responsible for supporting Abcam's Supply Chain and Manufacturing (SCM) function through consistent financial reporting and analysis.
This position reports to the Finance Business Partner SCM and is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team located in Cambridge and will be on site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain ongoing forecasting for Abcam's global SCM sites and perform monthly analysis of actual financial performance vs annual budget and monthly forecasts
- Prepare month end financials and and contribute to finance, functional and site key performance indicator (KPI) bowlers
- Be first point of contact to business for finance queries including coding and budget availability
- Support FBP - SCM in providing business case analysis and detailed ROI for new capital projects
- Ad hoc analysis and modelling to support production cost, cost absorption and inventory optimisation
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting and/or qualified or part qualified accountant
- Prior experience in a financial planning & analysis role
- Experience with financial planning systems
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Advanced excel and/or Tableau/Power BI skills
- Experience with Oracle EPM
- Exposure to a manufacturing business and costing
