Supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role is responsible for extracting and analysing complex data to deliver to business and finance stakeholders insightful reporting including the provision of the monthly financial reporting package to provide valuable analysis and insight to accurately report financial performance and make informed decision making.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with the on-time delivery of the monthly board pack.
• Supporting the FP&A team with the consolidation and reporting for the budget and quarterly forecasts alongside and assisting with the deployment of the company budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Developing and improving financial reporting.
• Leading on the preparation, and improvement, of the monthly reports for the shareholder, to include future focused, value adding and action orientated insight and commentary.
• Providing new financial analysis requested from the senior management team and shareholders and drive continual improvement in the data analysis provided.
• Complete changes to reporting and engage with system developers where significant changes are required.
• Responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and maintenance of the data in and across the financial systems.

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:

• Experience in modelling and analysing large volumes of data and interpretation of financial information;
• IBM Planning Analytics TM1, TM1 certification, Ability to investigate at a granular level to ensure understanding of the drivers of the business;
• Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner and use this to influence decision making;
• Experience in multi-dimensional planning tools and systems.
• Willingness to develop knowledge and skills of Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics TM1 reporting.
• The ability to manage individual workload, work in a team and plan/set deadlines whilst working to achieve them;
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17:30pm and the role is offered as hybrid with 3 days per week being spent at our Cambridge office in Sawston (CB22 3EG).
