Salary:
From £30,000.00 to £40,000.00 per annum

At A Class Care we are an *award-winning Care provider*, and we exist to help family members seek support for a loved one in their own home. We have over 20 years’ experience of providing care and assistance to vulnerable adults and elderly clients.

A Class Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage all financial aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll, with proficiency in using financial software.

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and implementing financial strategies to support business objectives.

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Credit Control: Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures. Monitor and manage customer credit limits and collections.
  • Managing Aged Debt: Chase late payers, follow the late payment procedure, and action next steps.
  • Payroll: Manage payroll tax reporting and reconciliation. Processing of monthly payroll.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, billing, and collections. Monitoring accounts receivable and payable.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in financial forecasting to support strategic planning. Contribute towards yearly budgets in collaboration with the senior management team.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. Recording and maintaining the business’ financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
  • Leadership: To be part of the senior management team (SMT), To collaborate and inform members of the SMT on all financial-related matters.


Who we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in financial control, credit control, payroll, and accounts receivable.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • ACA qualification or similar Professional certification within finance. (preferred)
  • Proficiency in using financial software, especially Xero (preferred)
