As part of the Expense Management Team, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the budgeting, financial accounting, and daily payment management for all group expenses. The team is fast-growing and dynamic, handling a wide variety of payment types and reporting that directly impact the company’s approach to expense management.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Finance Business Partners, focusing on expense accounting and conducting in-depth analyses that support new business initiatives. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, helping them understand, plan, and take accountability for the costs in their areas. By ensuring accurate cost accounting and delivering clear, insightful reports, your work will drive smarter financial decisions across the company.

Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Finance Analyst within the Reporting and Financial Management team:
- Supporting the budget and forecast process to drive efficient company growth.
- Support the monthly close process for cost accounting and purchasing.
- Provide full lifecycle cost support for change initiatives e.g. new investments and benefits tracking
- Prepare accurate cost options through excellent PowerPoint presentations.
- Contribute towards the development of the Expense Business Partnering Strategy and support its delivery across PIC.
- Deliver excellent stakeholder management for the teams you support.
- Establish the strong process and reporting discipline to ensure data, reports and quality and timeliness is of a very high standard.
- Work with colleagues across finance to ensure quality and timely information is received to enable the team to perform at a high standard
- Help ensure PIC costs are maintained within agreed budgets and controlled
- Actively work with the rest on the team on process improvements and progress other projects.
Requirements
Knowledge
- Established knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
- Understanding of Financial services cost base.
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to organise work to meet competing deadlines
- Highly organised with an excellent eye for detail
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Great working knowledge of PowerPoint
Experience
- Qualified chartered accountant / Finalist (CIMA, ACCA etc.)
- Experience in Financial Services Industry
- Experience of cost management framework and reporting
