Comprised of thought leaders and bolstered by technical experts across energy, water, built environment, transport, and resources, we're driving innovative solutions that make a real difference.

We're expanding our climate change team and are actively seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Climate Change Associate for a consulting role. This role is focused on helping clients solve their climate change challenges and requires someone who understands the urgency of the issue and is ready to contribute to significant, impactful work.

This role is perfect for someone who:
  • Wants to be part of a dynamic team that helps governments and private sector clients navigate the complexities of climate risks, obligations, opportunities, responses, and strategies.

Role responsibilities:
  • Sell climate change services and develop business.
  • Manage large climate change projects and clients.
  • Develop climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, policies, and plans.
  • Compile specialised climate change reports as part of environmental impact assessments.
  • Assess climate finance requirements and readiness and develop climate finance strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate with project developers, development finance agencies, think tanks, financial institutions, and research institutions to develop financing tools and mobilise resources for climate action.
  • Support public and private sector implementation of the Paris Agreement
  • Support companies with the implementation of the TCFD recommendations.


Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Development Finance, Environmental Management or equivalent (master's degree or PhD will be an added advantage)
  • At least 8 years' experience in climate change practice or consulting
  • Experience in at least two of the following climate change areas: 1) Climate finance; 2) GHG emissions & mitigation; and 3) climate risk, vulnerability, and adaptation.
  • Experience in selling climate change services, business development, and client management.
  • Must be technically competent and comfortable with MS Excel and mathematical equations.
