Accounts Payable Officer
Location: Melton
Salary: $39.80/hour + Superannuation
Contract: 3-month initial term
System: Authority
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage this organisation's end-to-end payables process and support their Finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payments to org's creditors while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete Accounts Payable process
- Oversee and support Finance Support Officers in daily activities
- Liaise with the Procurement Coordinator on various administrative tasks
- Ensure GST compliance in supplier invoices and payments
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Experience with financial software (Authority preferred)
- Knowledge of GST legislation and accounting principles
Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in finance/accounting
