Description

As a Finance Analyst, you will be required to partner with multiple non-finance stakeholders at various levels within the Operations function at Heathrow. You will use your excellent analytical and reporting abilities bringing clarity and insight that aid business decisions. You will also work closely with the Finance Business Services Team ensuring controls are robust and numbers are accurate.

This is a 12-month FTC

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with stakeholders of various seniority levels within the Operations functions.
  • Collating and processing financial and non-financial information from various stakeholders and sources required for reporting.
  • Developing management report processes and insights.
  • Collaborating with our Finance Business Services Team ensuring month end numbers are accurate and fully understood, and support on annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting Capital programmes with investment appraisal & financial assurance activities.
  • Collaborating with the wider Finance Team to support our data strategy with a transformation towards automated self-service management information.
  • Supporting Heathrow’s Sustainability reporting, including Carbon life cycle tracking, embedding carbon costs into investment decisions and Total Value analysis.
  • Producing PowerPoint and management reports.


Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrable track record of excellent stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in providing business insight, analytical support and clear presentation of financial and business information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a similar role - experience of complex commercial and regulated environments within a large organisation.
  • An enquiring mind with the drive to understand and simplify complex problems.
  • Strong finance acumen with analytical mindset and the ability to spot data linkages, errors and opportunities. Ability to create financial models and present volumes of data clearly and concisely.
  • Strong Excel analysis and modelling skills with experience in creating professional and engaging PowerPoint slide decks
  • Qualified (or by experience)/part qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACCA, ACA

Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Experience / knowledge of using Oracle systems
