The Alternatives & Product business partnering team within the Lead Finance Office (‘LFO’) supports a variety of business heads with all commercial finance-related activities, from strategic reviews to cost/benefit analysis. This includes MI production, expense and headcount management, commentary, budgeting and forecasting, product analysis, ad-hoc analysis and business plans.

Your role combines the need for strong analytical skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels.

How You'll spend your time...

• Develop, enhance and run forecasting/planning models and perform variance analysis. Create routine reporting by driving variance analysis, with a focus on providing commercial and business context.

• Assist in developing commentary around business results. Perform independent analysis using multiple data sources to derive root causes.

• Produce insightful & well considered ad hoc financial reports and analysis on a timely, accurate and consistent basis as required.

• Develop and maintain relationships across Finance to ensure high quality output from Finance in the eyes of the wider business.

• Improve the level of understanding of the financial data in the team to enable its members to better support the business.

• Increase Finances profile and builds trust throughout the organisation by the production of value-added management information.

• Consistently demonstrate and uphold our values: excellence, respect, integrity and client focus

To be successful in this role you will have...

• Demonstrable ability to complete financial modelling tasks and financial analysis using Microsoft Excel and/or other tools

• Experience applying accounting and financial concepts to interpret and solve business problems

• The ability to create outputs that support decisions and understand the end-need for the analysis

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A commercial mindset which naturally focuses on continuous improvement

• Demonstrable knowledge of finance, accounting, and analytical skills

• Tenacity, self-awareness and attention to detail

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and excellent academics with experience in another financial/analytical role

If you also had this, it would be great...

• Experience in building relationships that influence and establish credibility across an organisation

• Experience in using data extraction tools such as Qlikview/SQL.
