Role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, providing crucial support in maintaining our financial records.
Key

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
2. Processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and posting journal entries.
3. Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes.
4. Assisting with the management of accounts payable and receivable.
5. Conducting routine financial analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies.
6. Preparing VAT returns and liaising with HMRC as required.
7. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
1. AAT qualification or currently studying towards an accounting qualification is preferred.
2. Prior experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
3. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proactive attitude and an ability to work both independently and within a team.
