Assistant Financial Controller
We are recruiting a Assistant Financial Controller for a well-established company based in Basildon. This is a temporary-permanent role, and you must be available to begin immediately. You will be providing support to the Finance Director by monitoring the accounting systems and projects for the business.
Duties will include:
Assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and VAT returns
Processing customer debit notes and raising supplier debit notes
Completing bank reconciliations
Liaising with the accounts assistant to resolve any unallocated cash payment queries
Reviewing GRN reports and unposted invoices
Attending meetings with credit controllers and other departments when required
Managing a team of 3 and providing training when required
Supporting the Finance Director when requiredTo be successful for this role, you must have a degree within Accounting & Finance and ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or studying towards. You must have experience working within an Accounts department, with strong analytical and Excel skills including Pivot Tables and V-lookups.
Salary 40k-45k Per Annum DOE
Hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm and 7:30am - 1:45pm every Friday
Office based role, with free parking on-site
