Job Title: Payroll Practitioner

Location (city, state): Newark, DE

Pay: $27 - $31 per hour

Addison Group is hiring for a client in Newark, DE, looking to expand their payroll team. The company is known for fostering a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Job Description:
The Payroll Practitioner will manage payroll operations for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is a temp-to-perm role, with the potential to move into a permanent position based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities
  • Enter and validate new employee information in payroll systems
  • Ensure payroll compliance with tax and wage laws
  • Handle bonuses, commissions, and other special payments
  • Audit payroll records and maintain data accuracy
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, direct deposits, and taxes
  • Prepare manual checks when necessary
  • Stay updated on payroll tax and wage law changes
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll and wage laws
  • Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and pre-tax deductions
  • Experience with ADP WFN is a plus, but not required
  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in process improvements is a bonus
Additional Details:
  • Schedule: Flexible start times between 7:30 - 8:30 AM
  • Location: In-office 5 days a week; potential for 1 remote day after 1 year
  • Reports To: Payroll Manager
