We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to perform complex accounting and financial management tasks requiring a deep understanding of accounting theories, principles, and practices. The ideal candidate will handle the preparation and review of financial statements, maintain accounting systems, and support audit and budge processes.
Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, subsidiary statements, daily invoicing, and interpret financial records.
Maintain the accounting system structure, create funds and accounts, and ensure compliance with the Uniform Accounting System.
Enter budget transfers, journal entries, and manage month and year-end closings.
Reconcile and trace financial transactions; compile statistical, financial, accounting, and auditing reports for management.
Coordinate external audits by preparing audit schedules, updating financial statement notes, and managing audit timelines.
Oversee special projects, such as inventory management and actuarial reports, and assist in the budget process.
Create, update, and implement policies and procedures to safeguard assets and support system design modifications.
Experience with taxes as it relates to non-profit organizations.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
Three (3) years of experience in accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
