What We Are Looking For:

This is an exceptional opportunity to become a Senior Tax Accountant for a solid CPA/EA accounting, tax planning and tax strategy firm that strives to not only minimize tax burdens and maximize bottom line profits for small business owners but also represents them before the IRS to resolve their IRS tax issues.

Compensation And Benefits:
  • $31-$41/Hour
  • 100% Remote
  • 1099

Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review business (1120, 1120S, 1065, trust returns) and personal tax returns for small business clients
  • Record entries into accounting and tax software such as Drake, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Prepare and review financial statements
  • Organize and update the tax database through Drake tax software and multiple third-party applications such as Count, and Google Drive
  • Analyze client tax savings and lead tax planning meetings with clients regularly
  • Communicate with clients regularly using email and virtual meetings
  • Research and expand knowledge in tax accounting and technology
  • Respond to requests from clients on general tax preparation needs in a timely manner
  • Analyze client data and lead tax accounting meetings with clients regularly
  • Review team members' financial reports and tax returns to identify errors and provide feedback
  • Provide technical and social support to team members in order to help develop their full potential
  • Provide in service training on tax preparation and tax planning strategies
  • Support the on-boarding of new clients to ensure adequate support to the primary tax staff

Qualifications We Require:
  • 6+ years of tax preparation experience (required)
  • 2+ years of tax review experience (preferred)
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree
  • Active Enrolled Agent license (preferred)

Skills We Are Looking For:
  • Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant
  • Knowledge of the tax code for individuals and small business
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Highly proficient with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) accounting software
  • Highly proficient with Drake accounting software
  • Highly proficient with technology and accounting software.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Must have excellent people skills, organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
