Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist (Permanent)

Pay: Up to $85,000

Our client is a fast-growing leader in their industry, expanding month over month and acquiring new companies. They are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to strengthen their payroll team and support their continued growth.

Job Description:

The Senior Payroll Specialist will oversee payroll processing for several entities across the U.S., including handling salary, hourly, commission, and piecework payrolls. The role also involves addressing complex pay issues, conducting audits, and maintaining compliance with payroll laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls across multiple companies.
• Handle pay exceptions, bonuses, retroactive pay, and overpayments.
• Assist in payroll audits and ensure quarter and year-end reconciliations.
• Maintain payroll records, balancing earnings and deductions.
• Prepare special reports for management.
• Process garnishments and levies while ensuring confidentiality.
• Participate in payroll-related projects and provide support to the payroll manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle payroll experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, FLSA, IRS regulations, and state/local tax laws.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and provide leadership within the payroll team.
