Seeking a driven, detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our team. This key role will focus on managing tax compliance and developing tax planning strategies to support the continued success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes (income, sales, use, property, payroll).
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and timely submission of required filings.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on new tax laws and regulatory changes.
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and enhance financial performance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with tax audits and manage communications with tax authorities.
- Provide guidance on tax-related matters to other departments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen tax compliance and operational efficiency.
- Support general accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of tax preparation and compliance experience,
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
