To play a pivotal role in the Pension Investments Management Team, contributing significantly to the investment strategy of the Worcestershire County Council Pension Fund (WPF). The role involves financial oversight, investment reporting, and collaboration on Responsible Investment and ESG issues.

Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting:

Review investment content for the Pension Fund Financial Statements.
Produce the Fund's Annual Report in collaboration with Central Finance colleagues.Stakeholder Engagement:

Attend LGPS Central meetings and deputize when necessary.
Liaise with Partners to ensure accurate reporting on Responsible Investment and ESG issues related to the Fund.
Present findings and updates to the Pension Board, Pensions Committee, and Pension Investments Sub Committee.Cross-Council Initiatives:

Participate in various cross-council projects and initiatives that align with the pension fund's goals.Staff Management:

Supervise and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Customer Focus:

Maintain a proactive approach, ensuring that customer needs are prioritized in all activities.Qualifications:

CCAB (or equivalent) qualified accountant or finance professional.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
